Our Story
Akilam Agro Industris Pvt Ltd was founded in 1991 as a tiny rice mill. Back then, we used sunshine in a large yard to dry the boiled rice. We also went through a few challenging times before using the well-known new technology known as BUHLER today. By giving our village farmers the best price for their harvest, we support them at the same time. Thus, one of the main factors contributing to our success is that they never leave our rice mill.We consistently keep a large amount of paddy stock throughout the entire year. In general, we keep 50,000 metric tonnes of paddy in stock at all times. We just inaugurated our 200-acre new factory in the Chennai region, which includes a 10-acre mill. We currently have a 47MT hourly milling capacity, which results in a 400MT daily production of rice.
The nation’s first rice mill to install a fully automated parboiling system is Akilam Agro Industris Pvt Ltd. Stainless steel is used throughout the system to guarantee high product quality and durability. The entire system is built and set up in compliance with global quality standards.
We are the first rice mill in India to use the renowned “BUHLER” milling technology and equipment. These BUHLER devices are computer-controlled and completely automated.
Every product produced by Akilam Agro Industris is meticulously processed in a very hygienic setting. To ensure that our goods are not impacted by machine corrosion, stainless steel is used on all manufacturing lines instead of steel. Our skilled and knowledgeable Quality Supervisors oversee every step of our production process. To make sure that the consumers receive only the best products, we don’t hesitate to return them if there is any problem, even during transit.
Our facility is located in the heart of a picturesque farming village. Thus, we do not let the waste water into the surrounding area. Consequently, we established a waste water treatment facility under the Central Environmental Authority of India’s inspection. As a result, we were able to get for our firm the Environmental Protection permit (03020(R1) F1).
In order to provide our customers with rice, we uphold an island-wide network of dealers. We also give our sellers transportation. We currently have sales promotion managers in the Elevation District who oversee the district’s overall sales and marketing operations.
